August 2025 — OREM, Utah — Coreform is pleased to announce the release of Coreform Cubit 2025.8, the latest version of its industry-leading hex meshing software. This release includes significant upgrades to the geometry kernel and meshing engine, a redesigned user interface with scalable vector graphics (SVG) icons, and substantial usability improvements for both command-line and Python scripting users.
“Our customers rely on Coreform Cubit for robust, high-quality hex meshing that supports demanding simulation workflows,” said Matthew Sederberg, CSO of Coreform. “The improvements in this release make Coreform Cubit more powerful and user-friendly than ever before.”
The most visible change in Coreform Cubit 2025.8 is the complete overhaul of its graphical interface icons. The new SVG-based icons provide crisp rendering at any resolution, contributing to a cleaner, more modern user interface. The geometry healing operation has been improved, but the change may affect user workflows.
Other enhancements include improved bolt feature recognition and reduction, an upgraded MeshGems tri/tet meshing engine (now version 2.15), better default behavior in mesh simplification, and increased stability in group definitions. The release also improves Python scripting support, with syntax error exceptions added to key scripting functions and better support for Python virtual environments.
“Each Coreform Cubit release reflects our commitment to continuous refinement and responsiveness to customer feedback,” said Kimberly White, Product Owner of Coreform Cubit at Coreform. “This release is a step forward in both usability and functionality for our users.”
