CFD Used to Explore Truck Platooning Technologies

FORT WORTH, TX – Pointwise published the case study, “Researchers use CFD to Help Quantify the Benefits of Truck Platooning Technologies,” which is based on research done at Auburn University.

The practice of drafting – where moving objects are grouped tightly together to conserve energy by exploiting the lead object’s slipstream – has been used in motorsports, cycling, and speedskating for years.
